Bill Pay

Just a friendly reminder, most stores do not accept payments. If a store has a payment station it will accept all forms of payment. We can log in to you account and make a payment with a credit card, but never check or cash. Corporate stores may have difference options, but most stores are not corporate ones. The best option to pay your bill with is *PAY or automatic draft. Cash is accepted at all Western Union locations provided you have your account number. On the front page of your bill it describes the various payment options for your account. Paying in a store is not one of them.

Now please stop getting mad at me when you come into my store and I wont take your cash payment. 👿

you shouldn't say most stores dont accept payments. there are a lot of corporate stores out there, your area just might have more agents than other areas. most agents have a corporate store nearby to take payments. the easiest way is to check cingular.com for payment locations.

Cingular.com lists us as a payment location and we're not. I wouldn't trust that list. I also think it's fair to say "most stores" because most stores aren't corporate stores. I did state that they may have different policies as well. In DFW there are easily hundreds of Cingular stores, and only 16 of these are corporate stores. Within ten miles of my local zip, there are over 50 stores, only seven of which are corporate.

I think some grocery stores in my area accept payments...of course, they have a surcharge for that convenience. 😉

In my old agent store, we where able to take Cingular payments through this 3rd party vendor. We had to charge a $1.50 plus your bill to post payments, and you had to have a copy of your bill. Plus, it took 3-5 days to post to your account.

My owner wanted to put in a cash machine (which costs $20,000), but Cingular said no.

Don't forget, agents can post CC payments through POS, or set you up with customer service to pay by check or CC. If you have to pay cash, corporate store are the way to go.
