Sponsorship account questions

wrath

With ATTWS, I was able to get sponsorship discounts through my company on botht he hardware and the service. Is this still the case if I want to sign uo for a Cingular plan and purchase a Cingular phone. I keep hearing mixed messages and I want to make my decision.

On a related issue...

I've been told that with my ATTWS Foundation account I will soon be able to buy "new" phones with the same discount I've always had. I will not be required to switch to Cingular The person told me that the Razor is actually available right now to ATTWS business acounts customers. It's the only one now, but there will be more - she just didn't know when. That rep was in "Business Ordering."

Two different business account reps told me the same thing about being able to buy new phones as a Blue customer in the near future. I didn't ask her if I would retain my discounts if I wanted a Cingular plan, since I prefer my ATT plan. I'm guessing the answer would be "no" since the original contract with my employer is wi...

as far as I know Cingular has discount arrangements with some large accounts, but ATTWS reps don't have a list of those accounts, so calling in to ATTWS call centers will probably not get you any solid answers, at least not for the next few days anyway...

about staying with attws, right now the only way you can stay with attws equipment is to go through business care, so it seems to me that failing any communications from the PTB's to the contrary business customers should be able to maintain their rate plans as well.
However the information given to reps changes frequently and it wouldn't suprise me if CIngular *really* wants thesebig ticket customers to be on their rate plans with the maximum contractual commitment... It remains to be ...

Cingular bought all the contracts from AWS and from what i hear they are planning on keeping those including those for Sponsership accounts. As for new phone that is both true and untrue. You will be able to purchase Current AWS phone but it is sort of a while supplys last type deal. The Razor is a Cingular phone and cannot be put on a AWS rateplan. The reps who told you that you can buy new AWS new phone did not stress NEAR FUTURE enough because noone knows how soon that will run out. Now keep in mind i don't know everything so You MAY be able to purchase the Razor but i have a feeling you will have to purchase it on a Cingular rateplan. I will be extreamly supprised if you can purchase it on a AWS rateplan. And i'm rarely supprized i...

yeah, everything's different with business accounts, from what I'm hearing. We'll all see soon, I guess. Enough people have told me the same thing, that I'm fairly convinced its true. ATTWS Foundation account customers will be able to buy NEW phones, not just existing phones, or existing stock - new phones. We shall see.

Depends on what company you're with and if Cingular has a discount with that company.

It looks like the 25th is the day to wait for so far....We are sure that the discounts will not be as steep on the Orange side as they were on the Blue side, but you never know..stay tuned, only 5 days away..
