Holiday shopping, #1 carrier, promos and phones
So, the second week will likely bring holiday traffic to most Cingular stores, with an extended weekend for a lot of business customers. The regional plans are supposted to be out on Nov. 20th, maybe there will be come holiday specials in regards to bonus minutes, but we'll see.
With increased customers, everyone from former AT&T subscribers to high end business users, will be flocking to the new (and existing) Cingular stores to look at or buy products and services. We should see some brochures to reflect holiday promotions with hopefully some enticing plans, as well as some anticipated new phone releases.
Anyone know what kind of things Cingular might be planning to offer new and existing customers on a week of opportunity?

As of right now, nothing. All Nation GSM plans are the same (price and minutes). They have reduced Region plans down to 4, and the have added 5K or unlimited N&W on North America plans (vs. 1K N&W minutes). As for promo plans nothing new has been announced yet, however I forsee them doing something crazy for the holiday's to keep the pressure on Verizon. They are offering $20 MIR for BT equipment. No bonus minutes.
I know of only 2 new phones that are expected this month. Nokia's 7610, and the highly anticipated SE Z500. Beginning of next year expect the V600 replacement (being called the V620 or V635). That is the latest and the greatest as of right now.

the v551 is the replacement to the v600. Cingular is not going to carry any other v variant anytime soon, other the v400p when we launch PTT next year.

Do you think that will also be the time that the price drops on the 6230?
...
No, The pricing that is currrently offered in your market is what will remain in affect until 12-26-04. After then...perhaps?
