No, that would be the Motorola C331.

Not as far as I'm concerned. The C417 was a true workhorse. It was a great starter phone and a wonderful upgrade phone for people wanting a basic handset.

Worst phone AT&T / Cingular has ever had? In my years that's easy: LG C1500.

What's so bad about the C1500? My friend has it and it seems OK to me.

What's bad with the C1500... Where to start 🙂

* Bad reception
* Faulty hindge (can break and cause shorts)
* Bad battery life
* Cheap casing
* Substandard keypad membrane

That's just what I can remember off the top of my head.

You're right. It did feel pretty cheap. Reception wasn't that bad though.

The C1500 is a god compared to the C1300. That's the worst.

Hello,

I am porting from Verizon to ATT. What would you say is the BEST phone out right now for ATT? I am in the Chicago area.

Thanks for your help.

No, it's one of the RAZRs. You can get a MEdia package if you want though.

The only devices that NEED data plans are BlackBerries.

While I was waiting for your reply, I called 2 corporate ATT stores in this (Chicago) area, and they said the V3xx, and any 3G device, requires a 19.99 data plan to go along with it. What is going on, why are the stores giving me wrong information??? Maybe I should stay with Verizon.

To get the $19.99 price they require you to sign up for a media bundle for 3 billing cycles to make up for the cut on the phone. Otherwise a RZRV3xx will be a lot more than $20, trust me 🙂

It's a fair trade off since the V3xx is a great media phone. You'll want to use Media Net on it as well as the AT&T video capabilities, texting, etc...

Most of your media phones will have a lower price if you get a media bundle. You can probably get the phone without signing up for the media bundle, but you'll pay a higher price. In most cases, about $30.

Yeah you don't need the MEdia bundles, but it will let you use some of the cooler things on the phone.

Plus, I think the V3xx has Opera so you can have web browsing on it. NOTE: not great web browsing, but it works.

you only need the data plan if you want the instant (in store) rebate. but you are not required to get it.

yes along with the a437 and sync. They are good build quality and will last a long time, but they are garbage for call quality and customization. I sold one to a customer the other day, I called him on it to tell him about his FAN discount I found. It sounds like he was holding the phone out the door and dragging it along the pavement, nothing but static.
