Cingular assigns a letter to a customers numerical credit score, so they'll never have their actual credit score announced in public. Class Z is usually people with little or no credit, not bad credit, with a deposit of $0 or $150. C and up usually doesn't have a deposit. $300 deposits are usually for people who owed us money and it went into collections before it was paid off. $800 is usually for people who STILL owe Cingular money. I work in a lower income area so I find that most people already know they have poor credit when they're applying. Sometimes they're surprised at the amount, but I just tell them it's because all our deposits are high.
