Hi, I am looking to get either the Blackberry 8700c or the Treo 680. ATT/Cingular offers these at great prices as refurbs, but I am scared. Any suggestions? I really just want the organizer/contacts/phone features. I am not into texting or emailing. Please help!!!!

In some parts of the country you can get a brand new treo 680 for $99 after rebates (or a curve for $149). Not sure how cheap the refurbs may be but can't be worth it at that price.

They are worth the price. They usually come with the same warranty and will look brand new, just the circuit board inside is used.

Most of the people using a PDA are using a refurb becase most have had theirs swapped at least once and a refurb is wha it what warranty sends out.

i've ordered 5 different refurb pda's and have had NO problems with them... 7290, 7130, nokia e62, treo 680 and blackjack... not a single problem... the refurb of the nokia was better than the NEW one i bought a few months earlier and sold to buy the 680. i like blackberries personally, but the the pda of the 680 is probably better. i just didn't like it as an well as others for the other features.
