marenda

Why would our store want the public to use our restroom?
"hey, you guys got a bathroom"?

me-"... no" ๐Ÿคจ

"well where do you go"?

haha AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH.
i almost want to tell them that they can use it if they add a feature to their account. haha

I know, I hate it!

I always just tell them that we dont have a Public restroom, then they get all pissy.

Of course whenever somebody is activating a multi line deal, its kinda hard to tell them they cant use the restroom, im afraid they will go to find a bathroom and not come back

hahaha no kidding. it's like.. either make some money & let them use the restroom, or risk some commission and send them elsewhere..

.. it's a tough one.

Even if they're buying something, they can't use our bathroom. It's against company policy. They're not allowed in the back of the store, which is where the bathroom is. To clarify the issue, our policy on it even states that there's no public restroom.

I HATE customers that get nasty when we tell them we don't have a bathroom. I work in a mall, so it's not like there are no bathrooms around. Plus, we keep all of our phones in the bathroom in the back, so it's def. off limits!!!!

So what do you do when someone is using the bathroom(number 2) and you need a phone to sell to a customer!?!?

I can see it now:
Customer: "Why does my phone smell?"
Employee: Laughing ensues...

haha

Like I said, we're in the mall. No one has time to drop a deuce while they're on the clock. We have had the occasional "Hey... when you come out can you grab me 3 red syncs" which makes the customer think we have little elves in the back

We used to let customers use our restroom, but ever since a 50 year old man pissed all over our damn floor, we turn away everyone who wants to use it.

You're really an idiot. Pull your junk out and you'll be in jail for indecent exposure, public urination, and if you're a customer you'll have your service cut off with an ETF. Good luck.

maybe Verizon employees dont give a d*** about their jobs. I'd personally like to keep mine with out breaking company policy.

haha but if you do piss on an AT&T sales associate, pleases video tape it. i'd love to see what they would do to you.

Then we'd all laugh at you when you're in jail for indecent exposure wondering how you're going to bail yourself out and pay for any damages you've caused. The rep would probably sue you as well, and then you'd have harassment charges, and oh... well yeah, I'd see why I would laugh at that, but for you to... you must just be insane.

We have a sign up that says "Due to health, safety, and inventory control reasons, we can not allow public access to our back office area, including the rest room." In other words, we dont want nasty people peeing on the floor, smearing their feces on our toilet seats, falling on a "wet" floor, or stealing phones or personal items.

Yes we have a bathroom, no you may not use it.

Hey choco, on your other store issue that's up on these forums, I only use that line for the people who bought their phones at walmart. It's a slap in my face when someone buys something from somewhere else and brings it to me for "help". I know you're not doing that, but that's the only time I ever use that line. I even give those people general service with light troubleshooting and direct them to the right department for what they need.

Okay.

What more could we do for our customers? If you are here on this site and do not work for the phone company then I don't understand your complaints.

You come here to get information or ask questions about service and features and we GLADLY answer them!! (Even sometimes on our days off!!) Not only are we saving you a trip or a long phone call, but you're also getting different perspectives and the most accurate information!

Okay, so we're a little whiny sometimes... It happens. When you work in the public, you're going to have some cranky days.

I promise you, we're not robots! Real people work in these stores. And I would say that we only 'bash' less than 5% of the people we see on a daily basis.

All people who work in retail were once the sweetest people you'd ever meet. Then they work with the general(ly retarded) public for a while and hate humanity. Yes, people typically have good intentions, but if some random moron knocked on your door asking to use your toilet and bombed your bathroom, what would you say to the NEXT random person knocking on your door asking the same thing?

I worked in a store once where the insurance wouldn't cover the business if we had a public restroom. So we'd use the excuse... our insurance prohibits public use of our restroom. People seemed to hate that even more, and one time this lady wasn't giving such a stink (maybe literally) about it that I typed out and wrote out this waiver that if she were to somehow harm herself in our restroom, we were not responsible or liable for her injuries, pain, suffering etc... and if she were to bring about any damages to our restroom, she was fully responsible for the repair. I asked her to sign it, she refused... and I simply said 'Well, that's why our insurance doesn't allow public use of the restrooms. Have a nice day"

... and you may be thinkin...
