30 Day Buyers Remorse Question

Hello.
About 2 weeks ago, I switched to AT&T from VZW. However, due to several issues w/the call center (not a store), the call center - I'm going to switch back.
Questions:
#1. I've had the same # for years and I want to keep it. I need to have VZW port the # before returning the phone to the AT&T Corporate Store, correct?
#2. Why am I still financially responsible for the $53 of phone charges? Not a very friendly 30 day test drive.
#3. What can I expect from the store staff when returning the phone? I'll be nice. 🙂
#4. Any other advice?
Thanks for any input and have a great weekend!

Answers:
1: Yes - port first.
2: unfortunately it is a 30 day return period. Not a 'test drive' like VZW. You are responsible for airtime or prorate and activation fee (if after 3 days).
3: For best results return @ original place of purchase but any company owned store can help if purchased from company owned or internet

Test Drive? at&t's "Test Drive" is 3 days. Days 4-30 is the return policy and contract grace period. Besides, it's not like it's for things you didn't use.

Seriously - if that was the case i'd be "test driving" every carrier on a revolving door basis... free cell phone 4 lyfe!!!11

hahaha, maybe it'll work for 6 months but soon they'll know you keep leaving and coming back I would think?

From a sale perspective it's not good, but I'm in customer service. Your info is like in there forever. At least at VZW. If it's within a reasonable timeframe they'll just reactivate your old account. Priceplan and all. Just don't have a past due balance from the Clinton administration. You'll owe VZW and whatever collection agency we sold your info to for months to come.

for the last 6 months or so every buyers remorse i have done no matter if it was 2 or 29 days they have taken off the act fee i thought they may have changed the policy and not told us.i still tell customers they will have it on the bill that way they are pleasantly surprised if it is not.
