Yea cause the only reason people bought the iPhone, just wanted to impress people. You ever think that maybe they have a real interest in the phone because its innovative and want something different? I almost hate having an iPhone bc of the, "OMG is that an iPhone, can I see it!?" I hide it when im in public just so people will not haggle me. But overall, it never messes up like most phones(except Sony Ericsson's), and I am completely satisfied with the phones capabilites(yes, i've unlocked it to add ringtones, themes and other apps). I think its funny you spend so much time on a forum bashing the iPhone, which is expected to sell 1 million phones by the end of September when you could maybe do something else thats a bit more construct...

The point is the N95 is Far far better and has more features for $100 more Yet most all those who claim they bought the iPhone to be on the leading edge of technology have no clue the N95 even exists.

Real GPS/5 MP Camera/ Real smartphone/ Real Browser for Wi-Fi.

The "expected" to sell out the first day! They expected to sell 1 million yet ATT activates less then 1/4 of that so far. They LOWERED the price $200 because ITS NOT SELLING!!!!

They still won't sell a million. People will now wait for iPhone II in January. The smart ones will buy the American N95 with 3G........instead.

I'm not gonna burst a blood vessel over it. I'm sure your probably a pretty decent guy, I just get sick of all the iphone posts you do. I work for AT&T and I f-ing hate the iphone myself, I think its a total waste of money. I can think of a ton of other things to spend that money on, but I don't post about it all the time. I'm not backing down on when I say enough with the posts about it. It's like you have some personal vendetta against apple and devote too much time talking about your disdain for them. If you dislike it so much, why wast your energy on it and empowering the company by talking about it so much. You give them way too much free advertising, they should probably cut you a check for all of it. 🤣

I could care less about the iPhone. I care more about those who believe they NEED it.

Those kids need to see how much they are being led around by their noses in the quest to be "cool" by people MY AGE! sitting around an oval table deciding what they should buy and what will be "cool" next month.

Apple sucked them into standing in a line they did not need to THEN lowered the price $200!!! IN A MONTH!!! I saw this coming and warned them. It would be a non event.

Its not about the phone. Its about being INDEPENDANT and not allowing companies put a hook in that "nose ring" the majority of Youth have.

Thats right. We are taught to worry about what others think. Then advertising programs us to care about what others think so we will buy their stuff.

Then peer groups decide whats best for us. Then we buy what we think others want. On and on.

I am not a part of all that, I did the opposite and still do. The crowd goes right I go left. I feel sorry for those who are trapped into having to have the next best thing all the time. They never "get it"

Most of the people who purchased them did not really consider the price. They bought it because that is what they wanted. You do not have to agree with there purchase but that hardly makes them anymore of a fool than you. In our great society people CAN buy almost everything they want if they are willing to pay the price. NO ONE CARES what you would have paid or spent the money on. They also get a $100 credit, so they were not screwed. They got something for a used device, whereas they should have got absolutely nothing. Just put it like this, when you get up, go to work for, and collect those peoples paycheck, then you can have an ignorant rant about what they choose to purchase whether its a BMW or an iPhone. my old m3 was a great car. Due to its rarity it only depreciated about $1,000 over 8 years.

Besides that, they are good cars, they hold their value very well, handle well, and are well made. There are plenty of cars in the same category for cheaper. I guess it is just user preference for me. but, my next car will probably be japanese due to repair costs and rising fuel costs.

I cannot speak for rare cars but
Everyday BMWs hold their value far less then a plain Jane Honda Civic. And they cost a small fortune to maintain.I will say they have GREAT lease plans. Probably the best (if you want a car payment for life.)

You are wise to choose an Asian car next time around. Even Americans are making decent cars nowadays. JD Powers has a couple rated higher then Hondas and Toyotas.
American cars are less expensive when it comes to parts as well.

I bought an HHR because it's different and polarizing. (Love it or hate it type) and very practical. Terrible resale which makes it a great deal used. I paid $14k out the door for a loaded 2006 with an MSRP of $24,125. 11,000 miles . Thats huge depreciation considering...

80% off all Americans live for today. And then when the day comes they look back and say wow I have no savings and nothing to show. Because everything they bay will be gone or way outdated by then. Thats EXACTLY what we do. (Except we would not pay $25K for any car) But we make payments with interest (10%) to INGDirect where we keep savings for those purposes.

People think you need a Million dollars to "retire".
You don't.

You need a home thats paid for and some savings. People would be surprised to know how little they need to earn when nothing goes out except insurance and utilities. As SOME get older they realize they need far less "approval" and envy from others and can release themselves from caring about what others think and care more about how they want to live,

I'll never "retire" meaning not go to a place of employment. But I do get to chose where I work without regard to the pay, Thats a great place to be.

If someone went out and bought it and are now paying interest on their credit card to have it I would agree they are pretty stupid. I think they are stupid because they could not afford it. If, on the other hand, they bought it and paid cash (or debit, etc) and could afford it then good for them.

Read other posts by ralph_on_me, etc. regarding the pricing strategy by apple. Read the numerous comments by the inventment community for and against the move. I am not going to bang my head against a brick wall anymore. My views are not unique.

And when the iPhone is not available at 95 out of 100 doors and those 5 doors won't give up their remaining stock that is SOLD OUT.

Done.

You get to choose your life. At 45 (or older) you should be mature enough to not judge others for their actions.

You are showing how truly pathetic you are by chastising those who choose to put their money elsewhere.

Didn't apple just offer 100$ rebates to people who bought it prior to the price cut? Or is that not enough to make the iTool feel special.

yeah they did and I think its stupid. You wanted it first and that is the price you pay to have it first. No everyone wants to complain they want the 100. Sorry when I buy something I don't expect to get a rebate 2 months later when the price falls. The 14 day thing they did I agree with. Most stores do that too. Price protection. But 2 months come one get over it and deal with you wanting it first!

It's not even a rebate as far as I know Its an APPLE store credit. Win WIN for Apple,

This was the big bang of the year LOL Turns into a bust so they lower the price a TON! Ya think if they were flying off the shelves they would have lowered the price?

Gotta love Apple and their Kool-Aid drinkers.
