Iphone 2 ?? Is It Coming Soon ??
Hey everyone !! Got a question and I'm just looking for opinions ...
Since Apple decided to lower the price of the iphone to $399, I am seriously considering getting one. I am concerned however that Apple lowered the price because:
A) The iphones aren't selling at $599 OR
B) Apple has another iphone coming soon at a higher price.
I'd rather wait for the new and improved if it's coming soon. What does everyone think ??

I'm sure another generation will come out. As to when thats a good question. Its possible the next generation will be a more basic version such as the iphone nano that was rumored. I'm sure there will be another generation with the current model that should feature memory and hopefully 3g.

Jobs is a genius, he sold a ridiculous amount of iphones at $600 and now he is going to sell a ton more with a huge price reduction. This really is monumental marketing and an awesome hype machine. I double iphone 2 comes out until at least mid '08, that's why I bought the 8gb iphone yesterday! 😁

They are not selling AND they will be releasing another real soon . Bet on it.
In less then a year those early adopters will be selling those phones on Ebay for $100 in order to pay $500 for the iPHONE II.

3g is overrated, having edge and wi fi on this iphone has been tremendous. 3G WILL DRAIN THE BATTERY. Think about it. Damn dude get a life and pull your head out of your a$$.

According to an AT&T engineer (who prefers to remain nameless) that happened into my store, Apple was trying to get the 2nd Gen iphone out by Christmas, but due to "Apple compatibility issues" (typical...), he said that they were looking at late Feb as a release date.

When secor26 asks about the Iphone 2 does that person mean that the 3G version or an additional version of the one they already have? If it’s the 3G version, it should be next year, but if it’s the non 3G version, it should be this year. Obviously, things can change, especially with their overseas deals and the current success in this country. (USA)
