3g phones on pay as you go

i was checking out att and is interested in thier payg. i dont like thier phones on prepaid but im king that n75 and i was wondering can i use a payo sim card in one and will everything work like text calling medinet etc.

I have heard that 3G phones don't work on PAYG either, but I'm pretty sure they do... Not sure now

Retail on N75 is $349.99

Because they want you to sign up for a regular account. They don't make any cheddar off of phones bought outright.
