I thought everyone would like to know about this.....In case you are thinking about getting insurance for this device through Cingular you can give up that hope. Insurance IS NOT I repeat IS NOT available on this lovely piece of equipment. Buy at your own risk. If you tend to misplace or damage phones then I would suggest another device.

Actually, my store offers insurance on the V3. It's not thru lock/line, but it's insurance and by g-d it works. It's about 69.95 one-time payment, no deductible. The downside is that it takes about a week and a half to get the phone fixed/replaced.

yeah, we're pretty ok as far as converage goes in NC, but of course we've gotta deal with the merger goin haywire here. I had an AT&T customer actually try to correct me for "using Us & Them language" when trying to explain to him why he has an ETF here and not anywhere else in most of the country.

But the upside to that is that we still get to treat AT&T cust's as ports/new activations rather than upgrades.

you can call it BS all you want, however if get Lockline Insurance and try to get that phone replaced...YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO!!!!. Do you actually work in customer service? Do you get email? If you answered yes to both I suggest you read the care merger news from 11.24.04 about this device
