I thought everyone would like to know about this.....In case you are thinking about getting insurance for this device through Cingular you can give up that hope. Insurance IS NOT I repeat IS NOT available on this lovely piece of equipment. Buy at your own risk. If you tend to misplace or damage phones then I would suggest another device.

i know you mean well but welcome to 2 weeks ago! 😁 XD

Actually, my store offers insurance on the V3. It's not thru lock/line, but it's insurance and by g-d it works. It's about 69.95 one-time payment, no deductible. The downside is that it takes about a week and a half to get the phone fixed/replaced.
...
are you independent or company owned?
...
I work for a Premier Agent coroporation. So independant. We go thru an insurance company called National Cellular Owner's Association.
...
Distubed1 are u in market 35 as well?
...
yes as a matter of fact I am
I'm in Greensboro, NC
and just where might you be?
...
Bluffton SC & Savannah Ga depending on the day are you Prime or who? if i may ask
...
Pacifica actually. I don't think we have assets in SC anymore, though we did for a while. We're confined to Cali and NC at the moment.
...
stay there its easier to sell there here there are coverage gaps out the ying yang its really bites ya know
...
yeah, we're pretty ok as far as converage goes in NC, but of course we've gotta deal with the merger goin haywire here. I had an AT&T customer actually try to correct me for "using Us & Them language" when trying to explain to him why he has an ETF here and not anywhere else in most of the country.
But the upside to that is that we still get to treat AT&T cust's as ports/new activations rather than upgrades.
...
ya there just upgrades to us here and we dont even really get any of them thanks to the Suncom non compete with AT&T there have only been like 6 at&t customers that have come over since the start of it for us so we are pretty much unifected

i call BS on that, that sounds like a warranty not insurance, what does your "insurance" do about lost phones?
...
you can call it BS all you want, however if get Lockline Insurance and try to get that phone replaced...YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO!!!!. Do you actually work in customer service? Do you get email? If you answered yes to both I suggest you read the care merger news from 11.24.04 about this device
