question about the blackberry pearl on payg
i have a friend that is selling his blackberry pearl and I plan on getting a payg starter kit. I wanted to know how do I enable media net on it. Do I just call customer service and have them send me the settings or is there more to it. Thanks

I don't think you can use medianet on a pearl on pay as you go. The curve might work but not the pearl.

I'm pretty sure neither one will work. Blackberries need the blackberry data package to get online. They wont even get MMS without a BB data package.

I think the curve does. It allows medinet browsing, but not html browsing thats why there are 2 diff browsing icons on the homescreen

No. Without the BB internet package your data connection will be refused. You can't get that on prepaid, so you can't use any internet or MMS with that phone.

oh yeah i forgot the phone will still work well such as calling and everything i would still like to get it. i heard that 3g wouldnt work on payg but i seen people have 3g prepaid sim cards

blackberries will work, but only for voice and text! that's it. no media net or email.
