Hi,
Since we are still able to order phones and service through attwireless.com, which is still offering the same plans as before, do the plans switch to cingular plans after a while, if AT and T start their own wireless service 6 months down the line. And by ordering through attwireless, do we get free att to cingular plans also.

no the reason the website is still offering ATT plans is that the government didn't apporve all markets for cingular buyout so customers in those markets can get a phone and service then a few months down the road sold to another carrier.
you want a att plan then down the road switch to cingular you get a discount for a phone ,plus pay an 18.00 upgrade fee, and when you activate the att plan you first pay a 36.00 start of service fee.
Also FYI, any promotions you get on your ATT package will not migrate to your cingular package IE 7pm nights and weekends for free, free incoming text messages.So choose carefully, also be aware that down the road if you to...
