Am in Charlotte, NC. Rep sad he had no idea.

This is rather annoying. Perhaps we might get lucky to see this unit and the VX6800 soon.

Hope they have a nice data plan for the 8925 but I am not holding my breath. Would be great if they all had data plans like the IPhone.

Since this unit has no physical dialing keys on front, I guess you can smudge up the screen with your finger while in the car.

Hope the Voice Recognition works better than what I heard from people that had an old 8125

When a phone is released stores still have to place their orders and have it shipped to them. Most locations only order once a week, even when something new comes out. So when a new phone is "released" expect about a week for it to get into your stores. They also may not sell it until they sell out of their 8525s.

This phone uses a pda data plan.

I work for a store in WA. We were just able to order them on Saturday so they are coming in right now. I would assume your store is too.

Yeah, they became available in my market (Dallas, Tx.) on the 4th and I order on Tuesdays, so I'll be placing my order tomorrow and hopefully I'll have them in by Thursday. Of course, they might be back-ordered and I have to wait.

I just had a really rude customer call in about this phone less than an hour ago. She asked if I had the Tilt in yet. I said they haven't hit the stores yet, and before I even finished she cut me off and said it was in stores. Then I slowly explained to her that when a phone is released it still takes a few days for them to ship, and I should have them in my store by Thursday.

It's slightly different in my situation since I'm just a store manager and have to follow ordering guidelines set up by my agent too. I'm not worried though, they'll be in this week.

Ah....the one disadvantage about working for a large agent....

As soon as Renee in the FDC sent the email out to me, I had 5 the next day. I have only sold 2 of the 5, but have had lots of intrest. No worries about back orders.

I try to order every other day. It works great this way as one handset might sell quickly one week and then no so well the next. Plus att likes to change the cost of things on a weekly basis to mirror ads, so no need being stuck with a bunch of one handset, and then the price drops the next day.

I hope you are well. My boy OJ is in sh!t again!

No kidding! I'm pretty good at keeping a level stock with weekly orders, but ordering every other day would be even more dandy!

I will get mine today! ๐Ÿ˜

Can't wait! They won't let any employees buy them yet but I can't wait to play with it. I loved the feel of it at our last meeting.

Ordering once a week is hard! Good luck with that Ralph!

PS... miss ya!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We have new phones "pushed" to the stores for the initial order, meaning we never order new models, they show up on launch day.

We've had them for a couple days now, and sold out of all 5 of them.
