Google worth waiting for?
I have decided not to renew my contract and instead purchase phones as needed. Which we do anyway.
However I am wondering how many who have contracts coming up will hold off until after the 700mhz auction to see what Google does and if they win what they will offer on the open source network.
Since the towers are already in place as well as the infrastructure due to the current use of the band, it may not take two years to get a new service up and running.

The towers are not already up and in place. You think the TV stations are just going to hand over the infrastructure that they modified to broadcast their new signals?
