AT&T's wireless unit CEO retires, De la Vega assumes title
The head of America's largest wireless carrier is stepping down from the company he's helped build for the past 42 years.
Stan Sigman, president and chief executive officer of AT&T Inc.'s wireless unit, is retiring from the company. He will assist the company with the leadership transition through year's end.
"Stan is one of the industry's most outstanding and accomplished leaders," says AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson, adding that Sigman was instrumental in growing the business. AT&T continues to be the country's largest carrier with 63.7 million subscribers.
