Worsening signal strength???

I am in San Francisco and it seems as though the last couple of weeks the signal strength has been getting worse.

I have a SE T637 and in my house for the past 3 months with AT&T Wireless the signal was always 4-5 bars. In the last couple of weeks, it has been bouncing from 5 down to 2 bars and back up constantly while talking. Cingular isn't shutting off towers are they? (I'd call them but I am pretty sure what their canned answer will be.)

Cingular is not doing any downgrade but they are realigning and upgrading towers all over.

That happened in Los Angeles a few weeks ago when all of a sudden we at ATTws care started to received calls from specific areas in the Los Angeles market with similar situations.

Also there are many co-location towers that are not necessarily owned by former ATTws or Cingular but by a third party vendor like Spectra Site that all they do is build, maintain, and lease antennas and when they are performing maintenance to it either for one carrier or all together it might also affect your service.

You may call all you want to customer care and will never get a correct answer because we are never never informed any of this issues. The only time ...

Just turn your phone off and on....


If that doesn't work, call customer service to get a push sent to the phone.
