how do i get on the prorated termination fees?

i assume this is for new contracts and renewals? and when does this take effect?

PhoneScoop had the info on this before I've even heard a thing from my reps. I forwarded the story to them and haven't heard back, which means they probably didn't even know.

According to the accounts, what I read including market watch they said “Lower cost of canceling
Wireless customers in the U.S. are generally required to sign up for one- or two-year plans, with early-termination fees typically set at $175 to $200. When they want to alter monthly plans, customers are usually required to extend their current contract or enter a new one.
Under AT&T's new approach, the early-termination fee would be progressively reduced over the life of the plan. It would apply "early in 2008" to new and current customers who sign one- or two-year contracts.
Spokesman Mark Siegel said AT&T has not yet determined how much the fee would decline. The company will inform customers shortly before the change takes effect,...

The Way that Cellular One works is that it is $20.00 per month for the remainder of the contract.

That's the way at&t had it, while it was still Cingular, in the CARE markets for quite awhile.
