Store Question
I have a family share plan on VZ that fortunately is about up for 3 of the 4 lines. I plan on porting the first 3 lines to AT&T within a month or so, cutting back the monthly minutes then when the primary contract is up 06/08 will port that too. (Just can't stand the crappy equipment anymore and want more selection)
Anyway, here is my question, I see ads all the time for AT&T in the paper, etc. What is the difference between Authorized Retailers and AT&T stores and is one better to use than the other? I live in the northern Chicago 'burbs.
Thanks fo any help. 😕

Go to a corporate store, you're way better off in most cases.

Thanks. So I think you mean an AT&T sdtore not the one's listed as authorized retailers?
...
yea go corp. (check out the website before you go, most corp stores will match online prices if you ask).

🤣
How is that?? It's funny because a Corp store has to following the pricing an agent can sell you any phone at any price for example I've even have someone a FREE NO REBATE moto V3xx platnium on a new activation. Will corp do that? Plus agent at times have FREE ACTIVATION. I've ran that at our store for 2-3 months at a time. So no corp is not always better
...
agent stores advantages: no long lines-can play with phone pricing-better one on one with customers-go to your local agent store and you will have a better personal experience!!

It's true that we can make up our own prices, but I hope you're watching your cost and commission to make sure you're not losing money on a sale.
The activation fees are billed by at&t, so the only time we can run those specials is when at&t says we can.
...
Yep. We have been running the Free activation alot lately, And the nice thing is the Corp stores wasn't doing it. They had it set to agent stores only. Yes I do watch commission on every sale as i'm the Store Manager and have to make sure every sale makes money.
