A customer broke his faceplate. He wanted pay $50 to do an insurance claim to get a new one rather than pay $15 for a new faceplate. Then he decided to cancel his service while still in contract because insurance would have to mail him the phone instead of handing it over immediately.

you should have taken his $50 and given him the faceplate. 🙂

MAN... cancelling over a face plate? Thats rich... never heard of that before. There is a kiosk here in our mall that sells them for about 10 bucks... Is that all that was wrong? Just the faceplate?

I assume you're implying there is also something wrong with the service itself then? 😉 lol

I was implying there was something wrong with the person using the service. 😁

Certainly there had to have been something else. I cant see anyone in their right mind cancelling over THEIR breaking the faceplate.

It was just missing a little tab on the front part of the faceplate that made it fall off easily. That's it... I'd rather have them cancel than have to deal with them though.

I suppose... I would have probably just given them the faceplate though...

Ralph on....

After talking to you both on and off this forum, you have by far the widest variety of customers! As all of us know, customers(not all) can be idiots. It is amazing. It must be your side of the DFW. I have had some interesting scenarios....but yours top the cake.

It's not so bad, I actually had a customer who asked for an upgrade, like 6 months early, cause her AFTERMARKET faceplate was broken.

After probing a bit further there was nothing wrong with the phone, she just didn't have the $10 on her to buy the faceplate so she thought she could get another free phone instead.

Even if we did have a free replacement for him, we would want you to transfer all his #s over for him, fill out the rebate for him, explain every detail of the CSS for him, explain what the purpose of the $18 upgrade fee is for him, explain why Bush won for him, explain why he has had 3 divorces, explain why his kids hate him, etc etc etc.....Good Riddens of him, you saved plenty of time!!!!!!!!! 😎
