Tough Question for you all...

I have a customer with a Samsung x497. They are too cheap to upgrade(even free phone) and somehow their daughter managed to put a phone lock code on there, not a pin code, not a puk code, but a separate phone lock code, and no matter how many times you enter it, even switch the sim, you cannot get into the phone without entering this code in. I am assuming it is just the security code, but i have tried the default 00000000 for samsung, 1243, etc. and they do not work. Is there any way to reset the phone's security code without knowing it? Any help would be appreciated.

nothing can be done about it. you may be able to find firmware somewhere and flash the firmware, but that would probably cost more than the upgrade.
