Question about AT&T surcharges

I work for VZW and our internal information about other carriers that our marketing department gives us is ..well, for lack of a better way to put it, frequently inaccurate and many times months or years out of date.

VZW charges all customers a $.70 admin fee and a $.04 regulatory fee and a Federal Universal Service fee (which is a percentage based on current FCC rates, currently customers are being charged 2.3%). Our marketing claims we have the lowest fees of the major carriers.


Just so I have a clearer picture here of what other carriers charge, what fees does AT&T have for customers that are being charged by AT&T on all standard accounts?

I checked the AT&T website and it is showing there would be a $1.25 Regulatory C...

well the 1.25 regulatory fee is correct but the 11% federal univeral fee isnt.I know in South carolina the feredal universal fee is only 1.27 and the regulatory is 1.25.So the 6.75 in at&t charges isnt correct.

Per ATT's site, the Universal Service Fund fee is 3.32%. Surcharges differ by every market, so depending on where you are at in the country, your costs will be high/lower.
