New I Phone?
I keep hearing that there is a new version of the I phone due to be released just before the holidays. It will include more memory, better video and camera.

My guess is no, but I wouldn't put it past steve jobs. The iPhone just came down in price for the holidays. I doubt we'll see a drastic update before the year is over. (Video).
Actually, I think that it would just take a software update to make the iPhone do video.
I doubt there will be a memory upgrade (16 gigs) before the end of the year. But I've been wrong before.

Anything is possible but I wouldn't bet on it. Software updates are more likely but even that may not be until 1Q08 with the release of the SDK due in January. I doubt there will be an entirely new iPhone so soon and right on the heals of the Touch, iPhone, Leopard, and new iPods.
There isn't a good history on the iPod to really guess on the next release and there have not been any credible rumors on the street. The average release cycle for an iPod is over 200 days from initial release. Figure the iPhone will be similar then you're about mid release cycle. But that's only a guess with no real track record on the iPhone.
