i just spoke to a rep at customer care. I was trying to migrate my Att family plan over to cingular and she said that she cant migrate family plans over the phone is this true? Because, the past two days i called and spoke to 2 differnt reps and they were going to migrate me over with a family plan, (i could not those past 2 days because my balance had not cleared) thanks in advance!

I don't know for sure but it sounds like you could. I have had many many experiences with reps saying different things about what I can and cannot do. Every time, it ended up that I could do whatever it was.

Hm. Migration tool allows for multiple lines to be migrated to Cingular at the same time. Perhaps she just doesn't have access to that system. I'd try calling back and getting another blue rep.

Hold on, you may be missing a few things, first of all, is this customer in a divestiture meaket,if thats is the case then no he can't because is he is he xould port to another carrier, like before the merger ,but if under contract the ETF's are there!!

The next thing is that the ATT family plan allowed you to have phones from different markets,(1 number in new york, 1 number in florida) to be on the same account and be on shared plan, but Cingular does not, the phone have to within the same market to be eligible to go onto the cingular service, don't assume the he got that telling him no was wrong, callback and ask why you are not able to,then you would know why!!!!
