Store Debut vs.Company Debut

When a new phone is introduced to Cingular and it debuts on the website, is that also the availability date of that particular model in Cingular's retail stores? Or are in-store availability dates different than the release dates for phones debuting on the website?

Reason asking is because there are several of the phones on the website that have been listed on the website for at least a month, but the Cingular store that I frequent the most doesn't have them in yet. They have just the dummy non-live display models (and even those are under a cubed glass case).

Just curious... 😕

There is no connection to what you see on the web site and what is available in your area. Sometimes a new model is in the store but not on cing.com and visa versa. Agent commonly carry most of the handset but may not carry some models for performance or price issues. Cingular offers several models that i do not stock but will get for a customer. Like the LG1300 or any Sony Ericsson's
