I've been a Vz customer since '95; love the service, really do. I never never have a dropped call (live in socal). The only time I have a problem is occasionaly when I call my wife (T-mob) and it doesn't go through the first time. But I swear, the phones on Vz are boring boring boring! And the much talked about crippled UI is real; it stinks. They make you pay for everything. And the kicker for me now is internationl travel, the whole cdma/gsm thing. So tell me, for reals: how is the service with ATT? I mean the voice/call quality?

I'm in the same boat. I've had a few friends that have jumped over to AT&T recently and their honest opinion is that voice quality and reception are a grade below Verizons. Voice can sometimes get gargled and patchy in some spots but overall they say it's fine and they are happy with their phones and carrier.

hope that helps

Vocie quality and reception really depends on where you are. It's not because AT&T, verizon, or sprint. If AT&T doesn't have coverage area there, then not even iphone or blackberry can save you.

I am not sure what you mean by, "VZ phones suck"

Verizon has some of the coolest phones in the market including LG Env, Chocolate, Samsung U740 and more.

Do you mean PDA phones? If that is the case, then it makes sense.

Everyone has different taste with phones, so you shouldn't say VZ phones suck.

honestly it sounds like T-Mobile would be better for you. for one you can have a plan with your wife, saving you even more money then just getting off verizon. secondly T-Mobile is an international company. they are the child company of DT, which is based in Germany.

They have roaming agreements in most countries as well, and most of their phones are quad-band world phones.

if you get a blackberry and want a data add on, they have a plan where you don't incur any data roaming charges as well.
