Anyone else tired of people coming into your store like this:
M - Welcome to At&t, what brings you in today?
C - I have Cingular One, can I pay my bill here?
M - Do you mean Cingular/At&t or Cellular One?
C - Cingular One.
M - Is it a Cingular phone or a Cell-ul-ar One phone?
C - Cingular One
M - Can I see your phone?
C - I don't have it with me
M - Well, does your bill say Cingular on it?
C - It's from Cingular One
M - No, you can't pay your bill here....*smacks head onto desk*

Yea I feel your pain. I get all kinds of people in that say that. When we were Cingular, I even had people write checks to Cingular One. People cant read.

Well, hopefully on Thursday, Nov 15th the Cell One deal ie: Dobson will close and then you could, in a way, say Cingular One... errr AT&T.

Only about once a day. 😎 I'm at Cell One..but yes...for some reason the not so similar names cause mass confusion for our customers.

I actually used to work for U.S. Cellular and I would have almost the same problem. Only it was can I pay my bill for U.S. Cingular here? So I would say do you have U.S. Cellular or Cingular. And they would say I have U.S. Cingular. I would then proceed to tell them that there was no such company. Very frustrating.
