Question For Sony Ericsson Users.

I have a dilemma. I absolutely LOVE SE's UI and most of their phone models. I have a W300i which I'm happy with and I like two or three of the newer SE models as well. Now here's my problem: A few months ago I installed Sony's Disc-2-Phone software to upload music and pics to the phone. Everything worked fine for a while, but then all of a sudden, I couldn't get on-line with my computer! I kept getting the same error message (can't remember what it was). Anyhow, after doing a search on the web from my work computer, I found out that the problem was somehow caused by the Disc-2-Phone software. There were several people out there with the very same issue and every one of them traced it back to the D2P software. I actually had to reformat...

option 1) get a memory disk reader, insert your memory chip into it, and drag and drop your songs/pics from your hard drive onto the chip

option 2) most of your mp3 music programs will recognize an attached music player and you should be able to load music direct from your software

I have the SE w810i and I've never experienced the problem you've mentioned. Have you looked in the FAQ section on the SE website? Maybe someone has a fix for your issue. Good luck.

I'll have to try connecting the phone to the PC without any software to see if it recognizes the phone as a storage device. If it does, I guess it would be a simple drag-n-drop...right? As far as researching the problem that ...

I agree with UOQuack I have the w810i and use a reader to load music and it works great. Never had a problem with it.

🤨 I've never had a problem with Disk2Phone software. Even though I know there are other alternatives like Windows Media Player (for loading songs to SE phones) I always use D2P.

I have no idea why or how it caused the problem. I used it for a while without any issues. Who knows. And no, it wasn't Vista. It was XP Professional.
