Ok, so I've been wanting to switch from ATT for awhile now because all my family and most of friends I talk to the most are on verizon...But I have a few issues I'm unclear on...As I see it there are advantages and disadvantages to both companies. Here are the advantages I see for both...
ATT: Unlocked bluetooth to transfer files, audio, pics etc.(LOCKED for verizon). 7 o'clock night and weekend options for ATT, and NOT for verizon. Unlocked phones for ATT which gives a much larger selection of phones, and the ability to travel overseas with an unlocked phone. Data plans are cheaper for ATT (two pda phones with $20 plans for unlimited data). You also have the ability with ATT to download free ringtones, graphics, games, etc. from 3rd partie...

This is an at&t forum so most will side with at&t. I guess Verizon has the EVDO network for all phones but most of the phones they carry are garbage. I remember having them and being so frusterated with the phones. The network is good but it isn't scary good. Just stick with at&t.

The smartphone plans are $20 the PDA plans start at 39.99, 29.99 for blackberry.
The big reason I'm responding is because I have had all of the carriers and have had the least problems with ATT. When I had Verizon the phones were OK but the service in San Diego was crap(nothing in the beach areas or on PCH). Tee Mow Bile was good with service but at that time there phones felt like they were going to break. Sprint/Nextel I don't even want to go into. ATT had/has the best selection of phones and pretty reasonable rates. The main reason that I've stuck with ATT is when I drove cross country I didn't lose service once(with the exception of the Continental Divide). I have been extreamly happy with the way I've been treated by Customer S...

Great marketing and good customer service, and for now, a larger wireless broadband network.

I honestly don't know anyone who has ever used V Cast. I know lots of customer and friends who use Media Net and Cellular Video. Verizon and Att are the Coke and Pepsi of cell phones. Both good companies who offer decent services but while Verizon lives off the "most reliable network" (Classic Coca-Cola), ATT is the "Choice of a New Generation" (Pepsi). Sprint is the 7up (they both have horrible customer service. trust me), and Tee Mow Bile is the weird off brand that gets big names to drink it but middle America thinks its a fad. Sorry about the soda references but being employed for 9 years in the beverage industry is hard to shake.

I think when you speak of both wireless giants it comes down to a couple of points.AT&T has a large network with great phones and technology that is always getting better. Yes VZW has a lot of intersting services and WOW Vcast but I have seen and used both and I can say in my eyes I think CV is better and it provides better content just look at your needs and ask yourself what would work better Data that works for you or just looks fancy and beside GSM is the Global System for Mobile so if you travel internationaly At&t is for you and well dont count out the largest mobile to mobile network of them all 😁 🤤 😛 😎

Insurance on PDA/Smartphones.
...
just call your homeowners/renters insurance and they will usually cover it.

Actually, Sprint's data is $15 dollars; but when I call at&t, I get real american people!
