Combining accounts into one big “happy” family account…?
Would we first have to sign over all the accounts into one billing name?? Would this require credit inquiries?? (I'm asking if that original account was approved for up to 4 lines, would they now have check again??)
Is this whole thing too complicated??
I am thinking of doing it b/c we are now paying a total of $156.96 (before tax), and we all have a ton of rollover minutes (yes I know only the primary would keep its minutes...)
We could instead be paying $103.96 for one line at $59.99 and 3 more at $9.99 and N&W at 7PM for $14 (and my parents have over 3,000 rollover minutes)
We all ar...

it would have to be one name, but you could change the user names which will also change the caller id. credit checks only last 90 days so if it has been longer you will need to re run it, but usually they base the decision off payment history so if you have bad credit, but good payment history there will be no deposit, but it also works the other way. if you have great credit but you pay your bill only after they shut the service off every month its a $750 deposit
I know we will all be approved, (we all have great credit with a scores over 700) I just don't want a extra credit inquiry, and would one be enough? (to consolidate my sisters plans plan and my plan into my parents plan)

I work for cingular, and have done this many times, it is easy and a great way to save money. the only draw back is that the account is in one persons name , and that person has to make changes to the account when needed, but others can be added as authorized users with limited access
with the right rep caller id changes are easy, but that is not trained it is learned. It took me 1 year to figure it out, because no one was informed about it.
also one credit check should be sufficient, however the credi...

are you in a telegence market? if so, i would like to know how this can be done 😉
i have an idea, but havent tried it
That is interesting to know, I have a family plan with Cingular and since I am the Primary, my name shows up in all the 4 phones that we have. And I wanted to have this changed and my local Company store said that it cannot be done.
Maybe I could get instructions through you, to at least give them an idea.
Thanks
Jo
I inquired about the same thing, different name for each FT line.
I'm in Houston market.
Thanks!

if its a telegance market you change the user name on each line. even when its pulled up in the billing system it comes up as the users name, but the primary is still the billing name
🙂 Thanks for the info, I'll check with my local corp store if they can do this.
Does anyone know how to do that in CARE?

Can you do it for the NYC market?? (Market 42)
Too many issues with people changing Caller IDs to ugly names in the past and it was mandated by FCC to keep that from happening about 2 and half years ago. Only business accounts are allowed to have personal names displayed for each phone number.
I was just thinking of combining my $46.99 line and my sister’s $39.99 line, and my parents $59.99+$9.99 lines into one big family account...

Not if doing it thru an agent. The agent can call in and get it knocked out.
