Are all SIM cards that come with newly purchased and activated Cingular phones/plans the 64k type?
Also, is there any way of telling if your SIM card is of the 64k type?

from corporate cingular/att stores, YES!!!, Indirect authorized dealers, most likely no, they tend to do inventory in quarters, so not till jan or feb for most!!!!

I purchased a RAZR through an indirect authorized cingular dealer. I have not received my phone yet so I'm not sure if I'm getting a 32k or 64k. If for some reason it comes with a 32k sim, can I purchase a 64k sim from a local Cingular store? Is it worth the upgrade to the 64k sim?

if you're in the carolina's market there's really no need for a 64k SIM. At least not yet.

If you have a 64K SIM it will say so on the back of the SIM. Most of the SIMS are now 64K as the 32K's have been pushed through the inventory. If buy an ENS capable phone, they will give you a 64K SIM as that is what will allow your phone to work optimally. 😉
