I am hoping some sale agents or someone can help me with this. I have 5 phone with cellone that I want to bring over to AT&T but I have a discount with AT&T I am being told the only way I can migrate them over to AT&T is by going into the store or I will have to pay the ETF's on all 5 lines if I do it online. Only problem is the store prices are about 30 to 75 dollars higher on each phone that I want to get than the premier website. Do you know of anyway around doing it at the store or should I go to the store let them migrate me over with free phones and then go tot he website and get the phones I want for the discounted price. Please need help on this from someone. If anyone works in BEUC and has a direct dial number let me know I will ca...

I work in a former Cell One store. WE have migrated to AT&T and as far as I know, you MUST migrate in a store. It does suck that prices are higher in the store, but that is your only option right now. They may change it in the future.

you can do it online.

and if you have a problem, you can call us and have it credited.

every rep at the call center has been telling everyone to do it online, we haven't been advised you can't.

I knew that seemed a little weird. Their the same company now. Why would you get charged for basically upgrading? LOL.

Good job call center employees.....feel free NOT to send them to a store front.

Thank you for supporting we retail locations! We will appreciate all the headaches and lack of commission fixing online purchases. Awesome!

Figures a retail rep is only thinking about the commissions they can make and not the fact that call center reps fix your mistakes every day! I can't tell you how many times I've had to re-rate a bill because a retail rep added a feature wrong or forgot to backdate a rate plan change. Excuse us when we have 150 calls in que and try to make our lives a little easier by directing a customer to the web site! You're also not thinking about the 30 minute phone conversations we have with customers reviewing all their options only to have them say they want to go to retail to look at the phones before upgrading. Not only that, at least you're still getting commissions, if we migrate a customer to AT&T we get s**t! I think with all the changes we ar...

Love the ignornance.

Retail REP?

You might want to use some common sense before you spout off a response like that. I can pretty much guarantee you Will and the stores hew OWNS have never created a problem fpr you or any of your call center cronies to handle.

The day you stop pullng a paycheck and stake your claim you MAY actually understand.

First of all your personal attack on me for being stressed out and voicing an opinion is the reason why I have not been on this site for weeks and will probably never be back....so feel free to start cheering now, I don't care. I will give you the fact that Will himself may not have ever created a billing issue for me, but retail reps in general have, everyone makes mistakes. Also, sorry that I am not on this site enough to know he OWNS his store, how stupid of me!!!!! All I was trying to say was that everyone is stressed out right now, and maybe he should not only be worrying about the commissions that he is losing! I know when we are being yelled out for being on the phone too long or being told to hurry up on our current call to try and g...

of course that is what sales is for. If sales didn’t sell, the company wouldn’t have customers.
and not the fact that call center reps fix your mistakes every day!
I can assure you the store gets just as many customers in because an ignorant customer care rep sent them to the store for something we can’t help them with or send them to the store for a phone that is available online only or through national retail.

Not to sound like a jerk but Customer care will be here on Christmas day taking calls as we do every other holiday it is still business as usual for us so we are here on Christmas day working as we do every other day. The call centers rarely close when retail is closed all the time. I get emails daily were retail stores are closed the call centers rarely close. Now thats not to say next year we will be closed but i can tell you I have worked the last 2 Christmas Days and will be here this year. oh ya thanksgiving was interesting to up here, so not to take sides because everyone does make mistakes but the call centers are opened on Christmas day well both care call centers will be for cell one now at&t. have a great holiday season to everyone...

ya it is a cell one thing but we are used to it we get paid even if we don't work but if we work we get paid our regular hours plus we get paid the same amount of hours for working and if you work the late shift you get a differential so it not to bad they at least compensate you for it. but it still stinks for those that have families to be with.

yeah that's the difference and the crappy thing about all this. there is at & t call center crap, and cell one to at & t crap. we have about 4,000 employees total...and i have no idea how many of them aren't care reps. we are busy.

it's hard for everyone not to flip out right now that everything is crazy, we're incredibly busy, and not getting paid any commission for any at & t upgrades.

i think it would just be tight as hell if everyone could get it on the same page.

it happened to us when we bought at&t wireless and transitioned those customers to cingular. i was working cs then. it's part of the job.

After you pick a phone and plan, at the end of the transaction, the website will ask if you are migrating your current number and give you the option to enter in you Cellular One phone number to transfer.

everything has to look exactly the same as your cell one account, all initials, abbreviations, or it will got to a credit bureau, might come back with a deposit. if it all matches, you shouldn't have a deposit at all. just so you know. (most people didn't. talked to a lot of people about this yesterday.)
