3G issues

I have a customer with a HTC 8525 that has had a lot of call issues since the 3G launch. Is there a way you can change the settings in the phone to turn off the 3G and just use the GSM? Input appriciated. Thanks.

I do not know of anyway to turn the 3g off. However, when I did the upgrade off of HTC's website, I found that it made all the difference in the world in it's performance.
