I know it's a bit late, but V600 recall help?

I recently got a motorola v600 from someone who didnt use it a lot, I was hoping that I'd get lucky and wouldnt expertience the problems that plaqued others, but sure enough as of late I am getting dropped calls, not receiving calls, and getting just plain bad reception.

I called cingular and they told me about the recall and gave me a motorola number to call, I called and got outsourced tech support that was clueless as to the whole ordeal.

Does anybody have any information that might be useful regarding this matter, was there a specific number to call, am I too late to get it replaced or fixed, is the problem just my phone and not the recall at all?

I plan to call cingular again tomorrow to explain the situation and see if they kn...

Unless you are the original owenert of the phone with proof of purchase you ARE SO SCREWED!!motorola will only touch it based on those qualifications.

well I am not the original owner, however the original owner is my father, so it's not like I cant have him do the recall.

By proof of purchase do you mean the actual proof of purchase off the box or just a record of the purchase like a receipt?
