You can buy them unlocked from sites like www.gsmimports.com or www.mobilecityonline.com

You are actually better off financialy to buy one brand new from a store and pay someone locally to unlock it or to buy one on ebay.

Where could I go to pay someone to unlock it for me? I dont know too many technological savvy people 🙂

It depends, there are usually private companies that will unlock it for a fee, you'd have to do some asking around.
