V3 overrated.

I had the V3 for about 2 weeks, and didn't really like it. Download speeds were slower than my V400, video playback was choppy, i got the "white screen" problem numerous times, not a very versatile phone, i couldn't tell what button i was pushing unless i looked, i felt like i would break it almost everytime i used it...... and aside from all that I didn't even pay for it. I recently was sent the 551, and I am quite happy with it. It's the good 'ol V400 with a bunch of extra ****:EDGE, Bluetooth, Video rec/play, better call quality etc. MY ADVICE: DON'T WASTE YOUR $500 DOLLARS JUST SO YOU CAN LOOK COOL....and you won't even look cool.

I agree. While I've never actually used the phone myself from what I've read/heard it seems to be more of an accessory rather than a phone. There are much better feature packed phones for less money.

☚ī¸ I have my v3 for about 5 days now payed 600.00 and i could not agree more that it is overrated and overpriced.
How are you going to look cool when no one can see the phone due to the pouch it is in?
I bought it for the dual screen and blue tooth as well as the apperance.
I am taking it back after Christmas any suggesion as to which phone i can use to get these feautures?
I still have the v600 which i think is a great phone.

I got one for free and still won't use it.

I gave it to my 10 year old son.

If the dual screen is something you need...maybe the LG1400 😕 ...or the Samsung E317 🙄 , I thought the dual screen was one of the only features that was useful. Have you gone into Camera then closed the phone...it has external camera display on the 2nd screen. Also....if you do decide to keep it, go to Motophonecases.com, they have a good selection of REAL leather cases from Italy, there specifically made for the V3. It's funny, you can go on Ebay where I saw someone pay $180 for a case I got for $30 direct from the website. check it out.

🙂 Thanks for the feed back.
I saw those two phones, called Cingular to find out that the E317 is on recall.
I also like the blue tooth feature that Moto offers.
Also am i the only one having connectivity problems?
The first time i dial nothing happens, the second time it goes.
Sometimes the phone does'nt even ring the first time around and i know this because my wife wants to know when i am going to throw it away even though she is the one who bought me it for Christmas.
I am so disappointed with the phone and Motorola and Cingular.
Like i said i will keep it until Christmas pass.
Thanks for any feed back.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

V551. About $100 bucks with a 2 year and more features than the v3. Better reviews from phones scoop users too.

I don't know. I tend to like "suck" when applied properly.

YMMV
