Prices on a phone upgrade?? (NYC/NJ)

Mendel

My parents complained to Cingular about not having good service where we live, and they are now getting sent 2 new 64k sim cards, and if that does not work (since they both have older non ENS phones) then she should call back this direct number, and Cingular will make them eligible for an early upgrade (their date as of now, is 2/29/05)

So I wanted to know if there is anyone out there who could give me phone prices on a 1 year contract renewal upgrade for a $59.99 + $9.99 plan

On the following phones... (On a 1 year renewal) [1 new phone for each line...]

Nokia 3120

SE Z500

SE T637

LG L1400

Nokia 6230

And if any of the above has rebates.... or are going to have rebates....

And if we get a good price ...

with 1 year contract you are looking at the lowest end phone here 3120 $109.99 to the high end 6230 219.99,the other phones on between these prices, you are looking at cost, also the rebates, there are some, you won't qualify for as they are for 2 year contracts ONLY!!!

No phones are sold for 2 yr contracts only... every phone has an option for 1yr or 2 yr contract...

In the New York area:

3120 - $89.99 (Retail: $139.99)

z500 - $149.99 (Retail: $199.99)

t637 - $$159.99 ($89.99 after $70 MIR); (Retail: $209.99)

L1400 - $179.99 (Retail: $229.99)

6230 - $249.99 ($199.99 after $50 MIR); (Retail: $299.99)

These prices are not set in stone and are always liable to change.

He was speaking about the rebates. The mail in rebates require a 2 year agreement.

If you look at the price list... A couple of the phones w/ a 1 yr commitment price have Mail-In Rebates.

FYI Tebor0; Agent Debit rarely knows what he's talking about. 😉

You're right. Just checked and noticed some 1 year rebates. 🤭

From what I see they're mostly for data type phones. Is this pretty standard?

To be honest w/ you... I gave up trying to understand the pricing structure w/ Cingular... Some phones I would personally price lower are higher and vice versa... Strange system... but oh well...
