Ok, Totally confused now (BlackJack II for free??)
Ok, as mentioned in a previous post, Im currently verizon and looking to come over to AT&T and have been looking for the best deal possible on a good phone.
Now I'm noticing at walmart I can get the BlackJack 2 for free???

What is the disadvantage of getting my phone through walmart? Most likely I am going to get the iphone soon (or wait for the iphone 2) before contract is up anyways..?
Can someone explain how this stuff works? Why would I ever pay $200 at an AT&T store rather than $0-50 at Walmart for the same phone?? What am I missing??

Ah so there is a few catches, If I get this and the iphone 2 comes out soon, Id have to wait atleast 181 days or pay a $100 fee. that sucks.

No problem, but seriously, try and go into a corporate store and say you really want at&t but you want the best deal possible, see you close they can come on the price. There would be no fees or anything for changing your plan around if you sign up there!

I know my local corporate at&t store has the blackberry curve and the blackberry pearl for a very good price ($99) but Im not sure if there were mail in rebates associated with them or not - Ill have to check.
Basically Im interested in the iphone or iphone 2 (whenever it comes out) more so than any phone, but I figured if I have to pay $400 for it anyways, I might as well get a good phone at a discounted price either for a backup (incase I break or lose my iphone) or sell it for a profit to take away from the $400 iphone.
