Please Help! Trying to find a phone.

Hello All,

I'm new here to Phone Scoop as a registered member but have surfed the site quite a bit recently. I was actually wondering if I could get some advice from anyone regarding a phone from cingular.

I'm going to be switching from Verizon to Cingular and have been trying to research phones as much as I can from website and magazine reviews. I am actually going to begin an internship in January in D.C and I am not permitted to have a camera phone where I am going to be working. Personally, I can't stand the fact that it seems every new phone must have a camera phone with video clips. However, I will save my frustration for another day.

I am basically looking for an excellent phone that will be used in an business environmen...

I'd suggest going to the Cingular store. My store had working models, so it made the shopping easier, plus a hands on demo was hard to pass up.

I took the freebie (after rebate) Nokia 3120. The keypad is too small for my fat fingers, but once everything is built into memory I only need to scroll, send, & end without dialing. It has the anykey answer, speakerphone, & a headset jack, although the phone headset jack isn't the standardized one the latest models have.

I also recommend a store purchase as opposed to mail order. It will make returns easier should something not work out. Last, I'd wait til January as it seems a new phone is released almost monthly.
