Another "Sub-Agent" on the Westcoast
Along the same lines as the TMS thread, there's another Agent (GSM Wireless) that I feel is negatively impacting the Reputation of the new Cingular. I worked for this company for over 1 1/2 years and had nothing but problems, both at the employee and customer level. First off, they weren't taking taxes out of any of my checks even though I claimed "1" on my W-4, I ended up paying the IRS over $1400. Then EVERY paycheck, no matter if it was hourly or commission, was screwed up or late. They owed me over $1000 in back-paid commission for over a year, and was recently reimbursed over the period of 3 months, aside from the few hundred they still owe. I'm not sure how your company worked, but a dealer i used to work for had to do the same thing.
You would sign a contract with Verizon, and then also with the company I worked for, with a credit card imprint. Verizon doesn't reimburse the store unless our customer keeps service for 6 months, so we made them sign a contract telling them they had to keep service for 6 months or we would charge them 350 bucks, plus whatever ETF verizon charged.
