Got my unlocked Sony Ericsson K850i
I'm torn between this and the -still not confirmed- N95-3 8GB
Rather use the phone as the manufacturer intended.
The Garmin allows for assisted GPS use when out of network. The phone's 5 MP AF camera has a real xenon flash rather then the lame LCDs on the N95.
and records video at 30 FPS. Add Internet accessing WiFi, stereo BT MP3 Player, Ngage 3D gaming, and a great footprint you have a great phone for the tech gadget junkies. The phone is not a fashion statement though. LOL
The Sliders don't offer that option. $500 is cheap for a 5mp camera with xenon flash, real GPS, 30FPS video with a TV out, 3.5 mm phone jack(about time)
WiFi browsing, MP3 player (with stereo BT)
BT and USB file transfer without special software.3D gaming,
I was close to buying the Sony but comparing the two Nokia had more features I would use. more internal memory, GPS, WiFi,3.5MM headphone jack
The 3.5 mm HEadphone jack is huge. I use ETY 4's and thats nice to be able to just plug them in.

I like it because i can use a cell phone mount on my bike wrap it with a condom and not worry bout it getting wet while still being able to use the GPS and many features.

Why not?
Putting a rubber on the muzzle was the best way to waterproof the barrel of a rifle that I ever found. Wrapping a cell phone in one is unusual, but... gee - it's intended to prevent the transferance of fluids, which phone cases tend not to be designed for (notable exception is my Pelican hardcase, but you have to crack the seal to actually use the phone. I'm s...

The phone is as close to a smart phone as a non smart phone can be. Good contact system, calendar, and you can even start spelling the persons name on the home screen (with out going to the contacts) and it finds the name automaticly.....similar to windows WM6.
My only complaint is that instead of the normal short cut keys, there are touch sensitive areas and it takes awhile to get use too.
Overall a fantastic phone!
How's the battery life?
How are browsing speeds?
How is reception in 3g vs. gsm areas?
Last time I bought an unlocked phone I got it in the Mediterranean version which lacks Spanish and Portugesse.
If so, (american version) which website did you get it from?

1st Off...Good for you and I'm glad you are enjoying the phone...
Thanks for letting us know about 3G coverage from an American Users Perspective when it comes to this phone...
I'll Be honest, I was going to say F*** It and Get the K800i cause I didn't want to wait to stack the cash for the K850..
But Now....
I'm going to wait, I've waited for months to be able to afford this phone and I think the wait will be worth it..
FYI
----------
At&t may launch the K830i they just released on At&t instead of the K850....
The 830 is 3.2 Mp...
At&t is pretty tight lipped about it, I've asked all my reps and they are all pretty quiet..
I'm still having fun selling the w580i....People who have never had a sony phone abs...

Pics were great on my k790a with the 3.2mp cam. I miss it.
Is the K800i the same phone, because thats what I thought...and it looks like that will be my next phone anyways...
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks in Advance
FYI, I was able to use and handle the K850 at our Feature Seminar for At&t back in September and they told me that it would be about 150-200 with an upgrade and that my store would in fact be carrying it...
I hope, because that phone would make most of american phones, if not all look like a Joke..
Thanks
