My wife and son currently moved to cingular and got a motorola v220 and a sony ericsson T237 and both came with a 64k sim. I already have a cingular phone (motorola v400). It has a 32k sim. I've noticed that their 64k sims are not getting as good of a signal as my 32k sim. At first I thought it was the phone , so I swapped the sims to see if it was really just the phone my v400 was getting weaker signal with the 64k sim, and the v220 and t237 were getting increased signal. Why is that?

You are not going to a concrete answer.

The best reply will be: I don't know followed up with a bunch of technical jargon without a clear or consice answer.

Perhaps your coverage area antennas have not been upgraded either because ATTws or Cingular don't have any owned but rather leased co-locations or simply don't find it necessary to upgrade.

There you go. First reply without a concrete answer.
