I want to buy a nice camera phone for the cingular network. I would like it to have good reception, and be easy to use. I dont want a smart phone because i already have a pda. i would like to spend bout 400 for one. Should i look around now or should i wait for the first quater of 2005? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

The Siemens S66 is a choice your might consider. Only complaint I have is the buttons are rather small, but as a result the screen is quite large and has very good resolution. I think it is around the $350 price point. The Sony Ericsson S710 is coming out very soon and that is also a very good phone and also sports Bluetooth.

I believe the contract pricing will be in the mid $300's.

I think that's a little low. Based on the price quoted to Agents it should cost around $400 on a two year contract. I'm having to pay $451 for it once it's released, so $300 is way too low.

I WOULD GO WITH THE V 551 RAZOR FOR MPX 220. WITCH CORPORATION DO YOU WORK FOR.

*cringes*

I work for the anti-caps lock corporation.

...but seriously, the best one of those three for what the cost is, would be the V551. I have the V3 and the MPX220, and I like the MPX220 better, but the V551 is still best for features/price.

If anyone is considering buying a MP camera-phone, I would go onto mobileburn.com. There is an in-depth review called "Megapixel Shootout" that compares the Sony Ericsson S710, the Siemens S65, and the Motorola V710 (verizon). It contains numerous Hi-Res photos taken from the phones themselves. Also, it has pics taken from the Nokia 7610 and the Sharp GX30. You may have to search for it.This is the most accurate and informative review on the above phones that I've seen.( no offense to Phonescoop 😁 )Happy Hunting.

Here is another one:

As far as picture quality, Sharp phones are just PHENOMINALl! I have used the TM-150 before with T-Mobile (not as a personal phone, just having tried it out a while), however you may not want to get that one because although it is tri-band, it offers 900/1800/1900. So, you would be at a loss not having 850 mhz using it with cingular. However, though I'm not closely familiar with the model I pointed out above, the TN-150 has an active removeable memory card which is compatible with any home photo printer, or kodak/wallmart/drug store etc... photo kiosk. Just put it in, and your digital pics will print right out for you.

They (sharp)are not the cheapest phones, but ...
