Service or Phone Problem?
I am a former AT&T Wireless employee. I've always loved the service and always thought AT&T had the best phones. I've always always bought Nokia phones.
I moved from the NY area to Texas 6 years ago. Is there a difference in coverage between the 2 areas?
My real issue is that my husband and I both bought Samsung Syncs 6 months ago. AND WE HATE THESE PIECE OF CR@P PHONES!!! 😕 We constantly drop calls...no matter where we are. Even in Vegas we dropped calls!!! (so it's not just our area). Both phone drop calls. And when a friend of mine went to sign up with AT&T Wireless, they told her to stay away from the Sync, because they are notorious for dropping calls!!!
So now I am having to dish out more money...to buy another phone...

They want me to go through Waranty to get it exchanged...but I am not convinced that I have a bad phone, I think they Syncs in general suck!! Yet on here, in the reviews...it seems to do great!! It's rated higher than the Nokia 6555!!! 😳
Bottom line, if someone gave me one, I wouldn't use it.
I would love to know where you are...I mean what region?
Here in the Dallas area, when we bought ours, no one had anything bad to say about them.
But when I went with my friend to the AT&T store (she was signing up) 6 months later, the sales people all steered us away from the Sync.
They said the issue was that the phone was not able to switch between towers smoothly...so it disconnects.
I wish I could do something about the phone...I bought 2...with accessories...
You've had no bad feedback on the Nokic 6555?
I work with an agent, so fortunately we waited about a month after launch to see some review that way we have a good idea. We do that with most phones, lose some sales over it, but happier customers in the end.
If you do Exchange By Mail you can always beg for a different phone, the policy is three exchanges to get a different model but it varies rep to rep. Also with Exchange By Mail they are generally flexible with accessories about helping you out, again, rep by rep.
We had one Nokia 6555 that did come back simply because he didn't like how thin it was. As far as reception, they're great.
And thank you again...I appreciate all this sooo very much.
Would they be the ones I should talk to if I do buy a Nokia 6555 and want to exchange all the accessories I got for my Sync? Will they want receipts and packaging?!
as for the 6555. great phone but there is two things i not happy with. back light is short. doesn't stay on long. the battery is not the best. but you can improve it by turning some things off that is always connected
