Cingular has CDMA
Cingular Dominated Michigan Area
Cingular will eventually (thru dobson) have all of northern michigan and U.P.
question for all, what will verizon do?
Evaluate the risk and especulate on the returns.
In other words Verizon will look in to such markets and if found favorable for profit growth, then it will make a decition to add, enhanced, or aliniate with others to exploit the opportunity.
Just remember. All business don't care about growth but rather profit. Many times an extension on business returns a profit amplification, but must focus on the future operating expense of such.

Cingular does not HAVE CDMA. RE-WORD your thread. Cingular bought the area and it's towers and are going to convert it if you read the article you posted. Just like when we purchased the area in New York during 2004. It happens with every company. Except Verizon still to this day adds more Customers than any other cellular company combined..even The New Cingular.

I don't think the poster implied Cingular had CDMA (technology)
Verizon I believe added 1.7 million customers last quarter. T-Mobile added something around 1.5 million customers. That leaves only 200,000 customers to be added by Cingular, Sprint, and Nextel if we're just considering national carriers.
So what I'm saying is this. Verizon adds a huge amount of customers each quarter, almost always more than any other carrier. But Verizon DOES NOT add more customers each quarter than all other national carriers combined.
