does anyone know or have seen a difference between like an LG phone and a windows based phone?

Or even, say a Samsung branded PDA and a Samsung phone?

Is there a diffence between the reception on a PDA running windows than a normal OS on a basic phone?

I don't think it is so much regular phone versus PDA as it is the manufacturer. PDA phones in the past have not had the best reputation for reception. They were built as PDAs and had the convenience of a phone built into it.This was especially true of Blackberry and Palm TREO phones. However Blackberries have gotten a LOT better over the past couple of years. I have a Samsung PDA phone (Blackjack) and it works just as well as any other phone. I also have a couple of HTC phones (the 8525 and the 3125) and they work well also. My wife has a Blackberry and it works well also.
