anyone with a CU500v ever place a claim for it? and if so did they do the normal procedure for warranty or did you get a different phone?
i know the basic warranty claim rule (well, what i tell customers here at my retail location) is that the first two times you place a warranty they send you the same phone, then on the third time you get a different one.
was just wondering if there was any technicality since the 500/500v was disc.
thanks in advance!
...
The three phone rule is for when the customer is requesting a different phone. If the warranty department has a 500v they will send it, if not they will offer s similar mode. In August I did a claim on my 500 and got a 575.
...
yeah, the past 2 customers I've sent out on that both got the Trax(575)
Personally I like the 500 better.
...
yeah i do too; the trax is too big and no swivel cam =(. But my 500 signal is continuously fluxuating from full service, to mid strength, and sometimes from full, to mid, to none. which is really annoying. all other lgs we have, nokias, motos, htcs, and sams all stay the same.
plus my speaker for calls and music seems about shot.
...
I have a 500 - the microphone is shot... I can only use it with bluetooth. The only down side to the 500 is its signal quality.
...
yeah and thats what is hurting me, because at&t around here isn't the greatest (western Va, not WVA) so i need all the signal i can grasp.
i am told by my rae that soon we may have a roaming agreement here with Alltel which would help tremendously. around here alltel has the gsm base parts in some of their towers just no antennas up yet. or so i am told.
...
Standard procedure these days is to replace the 500 with the 575. The system doesn't even give us an option anymore, it automatically sets it up that way.
...
cool, i placed my claim thursday and its probably coming in today. the operator said that i would be getting the same phone, but i know that its just standard proceedure for them to say that.
thanks for your help!
...
just for the books, they sent me another 500v. so they are still in circulation.
...
hrm... must've been part of a "new" ::cough:: shipment.
