Questions About At&t

VerizonIsEvil

I am looking to get prepaid from at&t. I just really am not a contract person.

I currently have a sprint contract, and its over in 1 month.

Now, to the actual question... PICK THE PLAN

Besides the prepaid plans online, does at&t offer anymore?

Can I get the samsung blackjack II with the unlimited media net?

Also, Can I get a prepaid blackberry plan, I know t-mobile has them, but I don't know about AT&T.

THanks..........

yes and no. you can sign up with at&t on any plan with no contract. you can pay retail price for the phone and just sign up with any plan without contract. (if you want post paid service there is a credit check) but no contract required. y...

How do you get the media net to work on blackberry's for prepaid? Everytime I have activated one, it always says data connection refused. I thought you couldnt use internet on BB's unless it was postpaid with a bb plan.

I agree with bojmir. Last time I tried to activate a BB on prepaid the data service was refused and the web browsers were disabled. If your happy with the service the contract shouldn't matter. Two years goes really fast, then your out of contract and got a cheaper rate then prepaid.

I'm pretty sure that the curve is the only model BB that doesn't require a blackberry package dor media net. Atleast mine doesn't, so I imagine the curve would work on pick your plan , but all others would only work on postpaid

the curve was the one a guy brought in to me for pick your plan. even with unlimited media net it was a no go cause the web browsers and media net icon would not download. BB doesn't have a deal for prepaid with ATT so I don't think the prepaid network gives access to BB data stream that governs the internet for the device. If you've had BB training BB's use BB's data network not ATT's. This is to keep email and BB messenger data secure. Since BB doesn't know who is really using prepaid I'm sure they don't want them using their data services and possibly accessing data they don't want them too.
On a different note, a guy brought a Blackjack II that he "got from a friend" (stolen). He wanted to get MMS. It cost him $120 of Pay as You ...

The thing I don't understand is why my I can access media net using unlimited media net without the blackberry plan and I can mms. Through all the trainings I have done I assumed I needed atleast a bb personal plan on there for any data transfer but I use it all damn day without it. Maybe I'm just special lol!

It will work in some situations, though its not supposed to. And now you cannot add unl. media net to an account with a bb imei. That being said I also have a Curve and when I first got it only had media net and the internet worked just fine. However I wanted the bb messenger and email so I got the package

yep. the curve only. in my original post i didn't say it was only on the curve. you will not get isp speeds but proxied in media net, but it will work. no blackberry services will work at all, but for people who want to use it for messaging and light internet, it's ok.

so pre-paid is my option. Can I get the Black-Jack II on there? With Unlimited Media Net?

So only other question I have is, are there any more pre-paid plans other than the ones listed....

are they revising them soon to add more fetures or minutes?

Or is that it?

2. Can i get my discount through work on there?

There are no talks of changing the prepaid plans. You can add feature packages like text, web and international calling packages. As for minutes, you can add minutes at anytime with a refill/payment.

Prepaid accounts do not qualify for business discounts. Postpaid do qualify depending on who you work for. You'd need to see if you company has a FAN/Foundation Account Number.
