Where's the Flash???

I just don't get where the flash is on most cell phones offered through ATT. I have an older version pantech (which pic quality is horrible) but has a flash. These new phones like the Walkman have 2megapixel technology, but no flash. SO, no action and no night time photo taking I guess. I could go with a Curve, but too big for me and I am not a text freak. Any ideas or any new phones coming soon with a flash? What is so hard about putting a little tiny flash like my Pantech C300? Doesn't seem like rocket science to put it on any phone with a cam. Again, any small phones I am missing that will take great pics and a flash???
